Come volunteer with us at the East Central Community Center!

Because we are all in this together.

Why volunteer?

East Central Community Center plays a vital role in our community. We offer volunteers the opportunity to have a truly significant role in a broad variety of activities where we are able to incorporate a healthy mix of community development, team building and goal management tasks.

We need you!

What will I be doing?

Front Desk– Front desk volunteers are the face and voice of ECCC. Duties include meeting and greeting visitors, assisting them in signing in, mastering knowledge of ECCC policies and procedures, as well as answering, screening and transferring phone calls.

Youth Program– Assisting the youth program can include helping to entertain and supervise the kids or contributing your knowledge and expertise as a guest speaker or instructor. We also need assistance with mentoring and homework help.

Senior Center– Provide support services and assistance to the participants in the senior center. Volunteers can also help serve meals, assist with outings and enjoy the company of the elderly.

Adults with Developmental Disabilities– Assist DDA participants in various activities including arts & crafts, cooking class, and sports to keep our DDA participants interested and engaged.

Janitorial & Maintenance– Set up and tear down for special events,  sweep, mop, vacuum, clean restrooms, take out trash, clean equipment and general janitorial work.

Food Bank– Sort food donations, engage community members and assist in distributing food to members of our community.

What are the requirements?

Volunteers must pass a DSHS background check. Some roles require CPR/First Aid class  or Food Handler’s card. These can be provided by ECCC.
